We are all concerned about the influx of gang activity in our neighborhoods and schools.
When you elect me to the School Board, I will actively seek new and creative strategies to combat this ongoing issue. I believe the most effective strategy in dealing with the issue of gangs is to engage parents as partners in this process.

We should actively work with the school system to provide aides to assist at-risk students to make sure that they are attending class, observe their behavior, and collect behavioral observations from teachers regarding their progress. This information can then be used to help make educational improvements that are necessary to help ensure the continued success of these students. I would also create an ongoing support system for students that would meet during school hours to support and encourage these students to continue with the hard work that will lead to their future success.
